U16 Girls qualify for League Semi-final

Killygarry U16 Girls completed the league section of the U16 Division One competition with a well- earned victory over Crosserlough in Kilnaleck on Tuesday evening last.

Having started their campaign with a win over Castlerahan/Denn they continued to show good form defeating Ballyhaise and Knockbride in the following rounds. Their win over Crosserlough in Round 5 now means they can set their sights on a semi-final game against Ballyhaise on 21st or 22nd May. This panel of players have been training very hard since early February and have shown great commitment in both their training sessions and games. Their fitness in all their matches so far has been excellent and the girls are reaping the rewards of the extra individual training that they have been doing on their own over the past 3 months. In Tuesday evening’s performance our midfield and back-line defended with great tenacity and determination throughout the game. Up front our forward line moved the ball well and created lots of scoring chances. Lot done ….more to do!! Well done girls.
