The good news is that the walking track around the pitch has reopened. In addition, ten pieces of outdoor fitness equipment (similar to the adult playground in Con Smith Park) have been installed and are ready for use.   The track is open to the public during the day and for the next four weeks the tracks will be floodlit from 8-9PM on Tuesdays and Thursdays.About 40 participants attended the launch of the Killygarry Walking Club on Thursday 20th Sept. Photos show people taking instructions on use of the outdoor fitness equipment located mid-way round the walking tracks. The two tracks total 1km in length. Anyone is welcome to join the Walking Club and it’s free. The track is free for people to use at any time they wish. See the Club’s eNews bulletin for more info. So whether you are young or old, a club member or non-club member, preparing for a marathon or a leisure walker, you are invited to come along on Thursday evening. Please feel free to bring a friend, neighbour, work colleague along.

The intention is to have the grounds open at scheduled times during the winter evenings to facilitate anyone who wishes to exercise.   The new facilities will provide a safe environment for everyone to improve their fitness over the winter.

This project has been funded by Cavan-Monaghan Leader under the Rural Development Programme 2007 to 2013
