AUTISM IRELAND – USED MOBILE PHONES

Have you an old mobile phone that you want to dispose of? Autism Ireland are collecting phones to raise funds to purchase IT equipment for children affected by Autism. The club is placing a collection box for phones in the Gym at the club grounds. Alternatively, if you wish to pass on an old phone directly to Autism Ireland please contact Millie on 086 8728170.

LOST/FOUND

The following items have been found in the Dressing room/Gym recently

–       Casio watch with black plastic strap

–       Play Station Portable with white cover.

LUCOZADE CLUB CRUSADE

DON’T FORGET!

Lucozade Sport are giving clubs the chance to win €10,000. In order to be in

with a chance of winning this great prize we must collect as many Lucozade

Sport bottle caps as possible between now and Aug. 31st. The club with the

most bottle caps will win the prize money.

 

Please help by collecting as many caps as possible and dropping them into the box in the dressing rooms!

LEINSNTER JFC FINAL

Good luck to Brendan Murray and Martin Reilly who are both on the Cavan panel to take on Kildare on Wednesday June 27th in the Leinster Junior Football Championship final. The game takes place in Newbridge at 7.30p.m.

ALL-IRELAND SFC QUALIFIERS DRAW

The draw for the first round of the GAA Football All-Ireland Senior Championship Qualifiers will take place live on RTÉ Radio One’s Morning Ireland programme on Monday, June 18 at 8.35oam.

The draw will also be carried live on the RTÉ News Now channel as well as being streamed live on the RTÉ News and Sport website, RTÉ.ie.

Live updates will be sent out as the draw unfolds from the GAA’s official Twitter account @officialGAA and full details of the Round 1 fixtures will be available on the GAA’s website, GAA.ie, shortly after the draw is completed.

The teams that have already confirmed their places in the first round draw are Antrim, Cavan, Fermanagh, Armagh, London, Roscommon, Tipperary, Waterford, Westmeath, Louth, Longford, Wicklow and Laois.

The losers of three further provincial games taking place next weekend – Derry-Donegal, Kildare-Offaly and Meath-Carlow – will also be added to the draw.

The games will take place on Saturday, June 30, with throw-in times and venues due to be confirmed by the GAA’s CCCC next week.

 

TEAM NEWS

SENIOR MEN

The Senior Men take on Redhills this Sunday June 16th in Killygarry Athletic Grounds at 1p.m. with the 3rd Team playing at 2:30p.m. PLEASE NOTE THE CHANGE OF TIMES! All support welcome.  

LADIES NEWS

 

U8 & 10:

Training continues every Saturday@ 10am on Astro Turf at Killygarry NS. All players welcome. Notifications will be sent out via teamer text to parents. Any parent that is interested in lending a hand at this training is very welcome and we would encourage as many parents to get involved as possible. U12 GIRLS:

Training continues. Venue and time will be text to players and parents. The date and venue of the U12 League semi-final is TBC.

U14 GIRLS

Training continues and players will be notified of venue and times via teamer text. New players welcome to just come along to training or contact Dessie Cahill 087 2981451

U16 GIRLS

There is a break in games for the U16 girls as un-played matches in their division have been fixed for this week. The girls continue their preparation and traning continues with venue and times being sent to players via teamer.

SENIOR LADIES

The girls have a break in competition for a couple of weeks as fixtures have been changed to accommodate the County Minors. Training continues Wednesday and Friday and venue and times will be text to players
