The Club had a very successful Golf Classic in County Cavan Golf Club last Friday. Many thanks to Declan Gilsenan and his company, Ashgrove Mechanical Services Ltd, for coming in as main sponsor of the event. We had over 40 teams and great summer weather for the event. The course and facilities were excellent as well. Congratulations to all the winners and thanks to all the teams who entered and supported us. 1st prize went to Mark Lynch, Liam Henry, Micheál Gilsenan and Tom Maguire. The 2nd prize winners were Patsy Walsh, Dessie Gardiner, Tod Davis and Mattie Reilly. 3rd prize went to Declan Young, Martin Maguire, Pat McEnroe and Frank Glancy. The non-GUI/LGU winning team was Mary Brady, Geraldine Rahill, Ita Smith and Bernie O’Rourke. Nearest the pin prize went to Frank Glancy. Luke Fortune won the longest drive on the 18th.
