THE GATHERING 2013

The club intends on organising a large scale social event next summer, possibly to coincide with the re-opening of the pitch. We are hoping to get as many people as possible who have been involved in the club at any level since the club was founded in 1966 to attend. ALL-IRELAND QUALIFIERS

Cavan take on Fermanagh this weekend in the first round of their All-Ireland Football Qualifiers. Throw in is at 2:30p.m. in Brewster Park, Enniskillen.

LOST/FOUND

An U-16 player lost a gum shield on the pitch on Tuesday 19th June. If anybody has found it could they please contact Kevin Smith on 0860810277.

DON’T FORGET!

Lucozade Sport are giving clubs the chance to win €10,000. In order to be in

LEINSTER JFC SUCCESS

Well done to the Cavan Juniors who won the Leinster Junior Football Championship on Wednesday last, June 27th. A particular word of congratulations to Killygarry’s own Martin Reilly who scored 2 points in the final and Brendan Murray who contributed greatly in getting to the final.

TEAM NEWS

SENIOR MEN

The Reserve Div. 1 team take on Castlerahan this evening in Ballyjamesduff at 7:30p.m. All support appreciated.

The Senior men travel to take on Castlerahan this Wednesday July 4th in their league campaign. That game takes place at 8p.m.

 

LADIES NEWS

 

 U8 & 10

Training continues every Saturday@ 10am on Astro Turf at Killygarry NS. All players welcome. Notifications will be sent out via teamer text to parents. Any parent that is interested in lending a hand at this training is very welcome and we would encourage as many parents to get involved as possible. U12 GIRLS

Well done to the U12 girls on reaching the semi- final of the league, unfortunately it was not to be this year for the girls. The girls put in an excellent effort in attending training and in all their matches and we look forward to next year’s competitions. A special word of thanks to team mentors Neil Brady, Micheal Shiels and Fiona Maloney for the work and time given to the U12 girls.

 U13 Girls

Preparations are underway for the U13 Championship and many of the U12 girls will be in action again in this competition. The Ladies County Board have decided that this year the winners of this competition will represent Cavan in Féile 2013, to allow the winning club time to fundraise for travelling to the event. So this will be a hotly contested competition. Players will be notified of training via teamer text.

U14 GIRLS

Training continues and players will be notified of venue and times via teamer text. New players welcome to just come along to training or contact Dessie Cahill 087 2981451

U16 GIRLS

There is a break in games for the U16 girls as un-played matches in their division have been fixed for this week. The girls continue their preparation and training continues with venue and times being sent to players via teamer.

SENIOR LADIES

The Seniors host Gowna in the last round of the 9-A-Side Competition this Monday evening 2nd July at 7pm. This will be the last competitive game before the start of the Intermediate Championship.

Intermediate Championship: Killygarry play host to Killeshandra in the Preliminary Rd. The match is fixed for Sunday 8th July in Killygarry @ 7pm.

 All Ireland U14 ‘B’ Championship Final 2012
